This is a mother place where all Taijiquan (Tai Chi) as we know it today comes from. If we count the 9th generation considered the founder of Taijiquan, Chen Wangting, 11th generation latter direct descendants still live and teach in the same village. This historical place has many legendary Taijiquan masters such as Yang Luchan and Chen Fake. Chen Village is located in the central China - Henan Province, Wenxian.

The Chen Bing Taiji Academy was established officially in October 2008 and Master Chen Bing is a president of the school. Since the academy offers high qualities of teachings and facilities, this is an ideal place for those who seek the classical training of Chen Taijiquan from master Chen Bing.

Taiji Temple is dedicated to the Chen Taijiquan Masters. It includes tombstones of many Chen masters: tombstones of Chen masters: Chen Wangting (1580-1660), Chen Changxing (1771-1853) (Laojia - Yilu & Erlu), Chen Zhongxing (1809-1871), Chen Xin (1849-1929), Chen Fake (1887-1957) (Xinjia), Chen Zaopei (1893-1972) (Laojia), Chen Zhaokui. The genealogy of the Chen family starts with the first patriarch, Chen Bu.

This historical house where the founder of Yang Style Taijiquan, Yang Luchan, studied under Chen Changxing (1711-1853), now houses sculptures and paintings depicting both Chen Changxing and Yang Luchan.

There is no mountain in Chenjiagou, so all people will be buried in the horizontal ground. Most people are buried the vicinity of Chenjiagou, but most Chen Taijiquan masters ' graves are in the entrance of Chenjiagou village. Chen Zaopei ' s grave is located in the back of Chen Xiaoxing's home. People of Chenjiagou have particularly love devotion to Chen Zaopei .

There is a bridge over a brook from which is the village's name was derived.

There are around 3,000 people living in the village.

The main street is lined with shops and open market.
